Gestures

NagMe supports several gestures to help you manage your reminders efficiently:

  • Swipe left: Mark a reminder as complete
  • Swipe right: View to-do list (Plus tier only)
  • Long press: Copy alert title to clipboard
  • Pull down: Show the backup and restore menu (Plus tier only)

Backup and Restore (Plus tier only)

While on the main screen, pull down with one finger, the backup and restore menu will appear. Choose whether you want to backup or restore. You will then be prompted to sign in to Google. Once signed in, your data will be encrypted and stored securely.

Note: New backups will replace the previous backup. Similarly, if you restore from a backup, the previous data will be lost.

Timezone Support (Plus tier only)

When alerts are created, we embed the timezone information into the underlying data. This means that when you travel or change timezones, you have the flexibility to choose how your notifications behave: either adjust based on the new local time or retain their original timing. For example, if you have scheduled a meeting with collaborators across different timezones, you will likely want the meeting to occur at the same absolute time (e.g., the same GMT/UTC time). In this case, you can choose to Recalculate the notification times. So, a reminder set for 9 AM Eastern Time would automatically shift to 6 AM Pacific Time.
Alternatively, if your alerts are based on personal routines - like taking medication at 9 AM or working out at 3 PM - you will probably want to maintain the same schedule in your new timezone. To do this, select Maintain Schedule. This will update the embedded timezone information while keeping the local time of your alerts unchanged. For instance, your 9 AM medication reminder will continue to go off at 9 AM, no matter where you are.
